The Handbook of Dialectology, edited by Charles Boberg (McGill University), John Nerbonne (University of Groningen/University of Freiburg) and Dom Watt, has just been published by Wiley-Blackwell. The book contains 36 chapters written by world-leading experts in the field, including our own Carmen Llamas, and is divided into sections on theory, methods and data (i.e. dialect surveys carried on the world's major languages).
