Gowns galore on our finalists' big day

Well done to all of our latest batch of graduates, who had their degrees conferred at last Friday's ceremony. We're very proud of you and wish you every success in your future careers. Many of you are staying on to do Masters degrees with us, which we are of course delighted about.

Special mention should go to our four PhD graduates Nathan Atkinson, Catherine Laing, Parastou Marvasti, and Jessica Wormald, two of whom (Catherine and Jess) have each just completed a third degree in the department!

At the ceremony an honorary degree was conferred upon Lord Rowan Williams, Anglican bishop, theologian and poet - and former Archbishop of Canterbury, no less - whose speech to the assembled throng can be viewed in this video.
