Language and Linguistic Science staff and students present at major international conference

The Department was very well represented at the recent International Congress of Phonetic Sciences (ICPhS) in Glasgow (10-14 August 2015). Pictured, from left to right, are Paul Foulkes, Richard Ogden, Vincent Hughes, Jessica Wormald, Richard Rhodes (MSc, PhD York; now at JP French Associates), Georgina Brown, Philip Harrison (MA, PhD York; now JP French Associates), Rana Almbark, Sam Hellmuth, Peter French, and Erica Gold (MSc, PhD York; now lecturer at University of Huddersfield). Márton Sóskuthy, Ania Kubisz, Grace Cao, and Amanda Cardoso were also in attendance, as were former York undergraduates Anna Bruggeman (now a PhD student in Cologne) and Hannah Little (University of Leiden). ICPhS takes place only every four years, with the next congress to take place in 2019 in Melbourne, Australia.
