York's French degrees put in formidable performance

The newly-published Times and Sunday Times University Guide for 2016 ranks French at York in 10th place in the national subject league tables, in which placings are based on scores for teaching quality and student satisfaction. Of the 127 institutions across the UK that appear in the Guide, the University of York has moved from 16th to 15th place in the overall rankings, making York one of the top two universities in the 'North' region. The three pictured members of the French teaching team are, from left to right, Cathy Dantec, Angela O'Flaherty, and Géraldine Enjelvin. Cathy and Angela were winners of the University's Teacher of the Year Award in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
