Cartoons, Sources, and Models: Stained Glass Design Past and Present

Proposals are invited for papers presenting research into any aspect of stained glass design, including but not limited to: stained glass as art or craft; studio roles and design; the impact of industrialisation on sources for stained glass design; different roles in the design process; methods for making cartoons; the relationship between stained glass design and the design of other crafts; design and religion; and design and the domestic interior.  We welcome papers which consider issues of stained glass design from across all time periods.

Please send proposals for 20 minute papers (no more than 300 words, including title) and name and institution of corresponding author to Catherine Spirit at cas540@york.ac.uk  by 20th April 2018.
