Lucia qualified from the University of Bradford as a Registered Nurse in 1996 and went on to work at the Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s Hospital specialising in Theatres and Post Anaesthetic Recovery. Lucia moved to York in September 2002 took a post at the Purey Cust Hospital now Nuffield Hospital and moved to Clifton Park Hospital focusing on Theatres, Post Anaesthetic Recovery and Ward work.
Lucia joined the University in November 2017 initially as a Practice Education Support Nurse. She provided the Mentor Updates to our Practice Partners also delivering the training and support of PebblePad e portfolio documentation for BSc Nursing, BA Midwifery and Nursing Associate Apprenticeship along with SSPRD, NMP and ACP postgraduate courses.
Lucia took over the role of Practice Education Support Manager in November 2019 managing a team to deliver practice placements for students and the implementation of the new ARC allocations software replacing System One. She also manages the PebblePad eportfolio offering training and technical support for students, academics and our practice partners.
