After training in Biology, John joined ECSG in 2005 and works as a Research and Learning Technologist within the group. In this role, he is responsible for the design and production of ECSG’s printed and electronic media (including study documentation, figures, websites and e-learning materials).
John is also e-Learning Development Lead for Health Sciences, with responsibility for the oversight of Departmental e-learning activity. He chairs the Health Sciences Technology Enhanced Learning Group, provides technical and techno-pedagogical support for the adoption of technology in teaching at all levels, delivers VLE and software training to staff and students and represents the Department at relevant e-learning fora (internal and external). He has a particular interest in the use of technology to support simulation in education.
