Biography
Jess has worked as a Trial Coordinator at York Trials Unit since March 2020. Prior to this, Jess was a primary school teacher and, following the completion of an MSc in Psychology, then worked on large scale education trials at Durham University’s School of Education.
Jess has worked across a broad range of health and education trials within the unit and is currently trial coordinator on SAVINGS, a trial examining the effects of very brief opportunistic smoking cessation advice delivered within financial guidance settings. She has a particular interest in studies that seek to improve educational, health and emotional wellbeing outcomes of children.

Jess’s research interests include using randomised controlled trials to evaluate interventions that seek to improve the educational outcomes and wellbeing of children.
