I chose York as it has some of the leading international researchers in health services, medical statistics and health inequalities.

The Department provides great support to the postgraduate students who teach, and there are many professional development activities on offer.

I'm part of a group which meets monthly to discuss important papers in health inequalities - the experience has really helped me to polish my group discussion and debating skills.
