Department of Education: Mental Health and Education Event York

Tuesday 27 June 2023, 12.00PM to 6.00pm

Our Mental Health & Education Event is taking place on 27th June 2023 (12-6pm) at the National STEM Centre. The event will bring together individuals who are committed to improving youth mental health in schools - including teachers, academics, local authority staff and more. In addition to providing a networking opportunity, the event will focus on the dissemination of cutting-edge mental health research in the department including interactive workshops on digital help-seeking in teens, teacher wellbeing, and evidence-based PSHE lessons. It is jointly funded by the ESRC eNurture funding stream as part of the Connecting Online Mental Health Services to Schools (COMS) project, and IMRY. See flyer attached.

It would be great if you could circulate this invite among your network - especially to external stakeholders including teachers, digital mental health providers, local authority staff, NHS staff, academics from disciplines beyond education etc. The event is free but spaces are limited - register using our Eventbrite link here if you would like to attend: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/mental-health-and-education-tickets-618896806007

We also have some space for posters. If you have a project on mental health that you would like to highlight - just drop Laura Fox (laura.fox@york.ac.uk) an email with an outline of what you'd like to showcase.

Location: National STEM Learning Centre, Siwards Way, University of York
