Transformations, Monday 18th June, 6.00pm

Posted on 30 January 2012

Enjoy an evening of musical transformations at the National Centre for Early Music, exploring the music of the Bolivian Mission Churches.

In anticipation of Arakaendar Bolivia and Florilegium's performance in the York Early Music Festival in July, Ashley Solomon, director of Florilegium, presents a lecture based on the baroque music recently discovered in the Mission Churches of the Moxos and Chiquitos Indians in the Amazonian rainforests of Bolivia. The lecture will be accompanied by members of the University of York Chamber Choir, directed by Peter Seymour. For tickets, and more details visit the website of the National Centre for Early Music.
