Ben Melling

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Ben Melling is a Postdoctoral Research Associate working with Professor Gideon Grogan in the York Structural Biology Laboratory. He completed his undergraduate degree and PhD at the University of York. His PhD project was co-supervised by Dr Will Unsowrth and Professor Gideon Grogan and focussed on exploring the application of Unspecific Peroxygenases for various biocatalytic oxidation reactions. Ben's PhD was an industrial collaboration with Syngenta. His current project is utilising Amine Dehydrogenase enzymes for the generation of pharmaceutically relevant intermediates.
