Daryl Martin wins 'Highly Commended for Supervision' Award

Daryl Martin, who is a Lecturer in the Sociology Department has won a 'Highly Commended for Supervision Award' at the new University of York Student Union Excellence in Teaching and Supervision Awards.

Daryl Martin, who is a Lecturer in the Sociology Department with key research interests in architectural theory, cultural geography, social and cultural theory and urban studies, has won a 'Highly Commended for Supervision Award' at the new University of York Student Union Excellence in Teaching and Supervision Awards. This new Awards system replaces the 'Supervisor of Year Awards' which a number of Sociology staff have won in previous years. The significance of the awards is that they are led by students in partnership with the University. This means that the students nominate and students decide who wins in partnership with staff to celebrated the exemplary work by members of the University community. Congratulations Daryl!
