C2D2 Fellowships

Posted on 26 November 2014

As part of C2D2's key strategic commitment to supporting talented early career researchers in the chronic diseases and disorders area we are introducing a new Research Fellowship scheme for which applications are now invited.

The scheme is intended to provide a stepping stone for the ablest early career researchers to manage the leap between postdoctoral researcher and fully established and independent externally-funded research fellow. The scheme is open to individuals from across the sciences, social sciences and the arts and humanities and those with interdisciplinary interests are especially encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will be expected to pursue an independent programme of innovative research and, within the time-frame of the Fellowship and with the support of an elected mentor(s), to apply for a prestigious externally-funded intermediate fellowship to continue their research career at the University.

The scheme offers a salary in the range of £37,394 - £45,954 a year plus a generous support allowance for equipment, consumables, travel and conference attendance and the posts are available for a fixed term period of up to two years ending by 31 March 2017.

It is anticipated that several awards will be made subject to the suitability of applicants.

If you are interested in applying, you are encouraged to make informal enquiries to the C2D2 Administrator, Dr Philip Kerrigan (philip.kerrigan@york.ac.uk; + 44 (0)1904 328876).

Closing date: 11 December 2014
