Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Award for Liat Levita

Posted on 7 July 2011

Congratulations to Liat Levita, who has been awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Award.

The scheme recognises and rewards colleagues (academics, learning support staff, teaching 'teams' and postgraduates/postdocs who teach) who demonstrate excellence in teaching and/or learning support at York.  Liat’s award recognized  'her considerable achievement in inspiring whole cohorts of students in relation to a course traditionally considered challenging; her inclusive approach to overseas students; the impact she has had on colleagues and on postgraduate tutors within the Department in a short space of time; and the expertise she has built up in relation to teaching research methods.'

Liat will be presented with her award at this summer’s graduation ceremony.
