Biography

Tom's research interests concern the security politics and policies of the UK and other European and North American states. He is particularly interested in domestic responses to the ‘war on terror’, rooted in his doctoral research conducted at the University of Sussex, which critically assessed the United Kingdom’s counter-radicalisation policy ‘Prevent’. He has been published in Security Dialogue and Critical Studies on Terrorism and has a forthcoming monograph with Manchester University Press.
