Title of research:

Harmonious or radical? Messaging Strategy of Western Politicians on Twitter Towards Trade Relations with China

Brief overview of research topic:

My project is concerned with the messaging strategies of western politicians towards trade relations with China on Twitter.

The messaging of politicians has the potential to influence the public perception of international trade. Currently, The attitudes of some western politicians towards trade with China seem vague. This makes it very meaningful to build a corpus database to analyse the posts of western politicians (especially in the US and the UK) on Twitter in order to know their attitudes and focuses and explore the process of framing the public perception.
