Research

Title of Research:

"Why do some far right parties do better than others?".

Brief overview of research topic:

The far right seems to be in the news all the time; we're always hearing about how it's on the rise. Not all parties that get labelled as far right are doing well, though – why? David is looking at how push and pull factors affect different far right parties' votes across Europe and trying to come up with a typology of the far that allows us to explain why different types of far right parties do better or worse in different circumstances in different places.
