PhD opportunities

We have three current PhD opportunities with the Department of Politics and the Department of Environment and Geography, with funding that will be provided by the University of York. Funding is available for UK home students covering fees, fieldwork and training expenses, and a stipend commensurate with UKRI levels for 3 years.

The three PhD's are:

  • Economics, sustainability and governance approaches to national (or international) fusion energy programmes.
  • Public attitudes to nuclear fusion: A qualitative study in the UK.
  • The political economy of energy transitions: the role of fusion on the climate change debate.

Further details about each PhD can be found on the Current PhD Opportunities page.

The closing date for applications is July 9th 2021.
