Profile

Biography

Jihong Zhu is a lecturer (assistant professor) in robotics at School of Physics, Engineering and Technology, University of York.

He was a postdoctoral researcher jointly at Cognitive Robotics, TU Delft and Honda Research Institute, Europe.

Jihong obtained his PhD in robotics at LIRMM (Laboratoire d’Informatique, de Robotique et de Microélectronique de Montpellier). He was involved in the H2020 project VERSATILE.

Jihong visited the ROMI lab at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University for three and a half months during his PhD.

Before joining LIRMM, he was a master student in Systems and Control at TU Delft. He did his master thesis at the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics, German Aerospace Center (DLR).

Jihong obtained his bachelor degree with First class honours from University of Birmingham and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Career

Jihong is presently an Associate Editor for IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (RA-L). He has served as an Associate Editor for ICRA (top robotics conference) since 2020.
