Stefano Pirandola

Stefano completed his graduate studies in Italy, becoming a researcher in the field of quantum information. After a Marie Curie fellowship partly spent at MIT, he became a lecturer in quantum computing at the Department of Computer Science at the University of York, where he is now a reader. Stefano investigates how the 'weird laws' of quantum mechanics may improve current technology, from the development of fully secure quantum communications to the design of more powerful quantum devices and networks.
