Profile

Liam initiated his PhD in Management at the University of York in 2020, while employed full-time as a senior Management Engineer for BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness. Previously to BAE Systems, Liam spearheaded the aerospace division at Howmet Aerospace, where he worked within a similar position as Senior Project & Smart Manufacturing Engineer. During such time, Liam executed projects from Airbus, Boeing, MRAS, Rolls Royce, and others to strengthen commercial and military components using advanced Manufacturing techniques. Bombardier, Spirit AeroSystems and MRAS equally recognised Liam extensive knowledge and passion for continuous and sustainable manufacturing, to which he received numerous recognitions.

Liam's professional accomplishments are only a testament to his past education, where he obtained a BSc from the University of Hertfordshire (Hons) and shortly after completing MSc from the University of Cranfield, a postgraduate university specialising in science, engineering, technology and management. Liam later advanced his studying by completing an executive education at the University of Oxford in leadership and management studies. Shortly after, he joined the Institute of Engineering and Technology and gained the accreditation of chartered engineering.

Having a comprehensive professional and educational history, Liam's remains enthusiastic about supporting the UK manufacturing industry through technological advancements to secure a more sustainable future.
