Posted on 26 June 2018

Dr Emma Wells has appeared in two videos on the history of the Battle of Stoke Field.

Appearing in the videos, Dr Emma Wells discusses the Battle of Stoke Field and Life in the Medieval village of East Stoke.

Around 7,000 men were killed in the Battle of Stoke Field, which occured in 1487 and is the last pitched battle of the Wars of the Roses.

The films, created by Paul Bradshaw of Viral History for Nottinghamshire County Council and the Battlefields Trust, were designed in commemoration with the launch of the new self-guided heritage trail which opened on the battlefield’s 531st anniversary. The videos correspond with information panels on the trail included on public footpaths around the local area and battlefield.
