The Truth about Life in Medieval York

What was life really like in Medieval York? To investigate we will examine evidence from historical documents, surviving objects, buildings, and experimental archaeology - challenging some popular assumptions and asking questions about how we can interpret and understand the past. This day session explores the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the past, including hands-on access to genuine medieval artefacts, as well as replica objects, games, and recipes.
