York Minster’s nave displays a vast collection of fourteenth-century glass. Varied in style, iconography and execution, the nave windows of the Minster offer an extensive catalogue of religious and secular themes and characters. This course will close-study the nave’s windows, focusing on their iconography and painting styles and contextualising their execution against the backdrop of the problematic fourteenth century.
