Love to lose yourself in a good book? This course looks at our relationship with reading through the ages, considering the social place of reading; national literacy and the popularity of reading was both driven by and in turn fuelled social and technological changes. From medieval manuscripts to modern magazines, we’ll look at what, how and why we read.
