Modern life is rich in scope for modern political and social comedy and satire. Discover how comedy that is gentle or sharp has been used to ease life since ancient times. In particular, satire has been around since Roman times. You may find that life hasn’t changed that much after all …Sex, corruption, murder, violence, money, gender issues, social climbing; as one Roman playwright put it, ‘there’s nothing that can be said that hasn’t been said before’.
