Saturday 30 October 2021, 10.00AM to 1.15pm

Speaker(s): John Lee BA MA PhD

We will explore the parks and gardens of medieval and Tudor England. These ranged from parks, which were usually enclosed spaces mostly for hunting deer and growing timber, to the gardens of monasteries, nobles, townspeople and peasants. Using surviving documents, we will examine the layouts of these parks and gardens and the uses of the plants, trees and other features typically found within them.
