The Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Saint Peter in York, or simply York Minster, is one of the most extraordinary medieval buildings in the world. The present building took over two and a half centuries to be completed and its architecture comprises all English Gothic styles. Its monumental windows provide the largest collection of medieval stained glass to be appreciated in situ in Britain. This course will study the history, art, and architecture of the Minster.
