Introduction to the Physical Environment

This course introduces you to the physical processes that shape the world in which we live.  You will learn the basic principles of physical geography - climate, soils, hydrology, geomorphology, glaciation, geology and biogeography. The first half of the course will examine how these systems operate, while the second half will consider how these systems interact with one another to create past, present and future  environments. This is an introductory class and assumes no prior knowledge of earth systems.
