Let The Bones Talk: Using Osteoarchaeology

Saturday 13 March 2021, 10.00AM to 1:00 PM

Speaker(s): Maria Fontanals-Coll

Death is usually the end, but for osteoarchaeologists it’s just the beginning. Like playing detectives, an osteoarchaeologist can read the evidence in a skeleton like you read a book. How old was the person? Was it a man or a woman? How did they die? And more astonishing... how did they live?

Would you like to know how they do it and become an expert too? From an archaeological site through post-excavation analyses, we’ll learn all the techniques used to make bones talk.
