Keep It Short!

This session is a feast for lovers of flash fiction, prose poems, the very short story, the anecdote, sketch, the aphorism and the joke. Together we will discuss a range of modern and contemporary short prose works by masters of the short form, such as Lydia Davis, Don Paterson, Francis Ponge and Anne Carson. A series of structured exercises will guide you towards writing your own short prose pieces. Open to writers of all genres and levels.
