Speaker(s): Penny Boxall
‘One cannot read a book,’ wrote Nabokov: ‘one can only reread it’. Revisiting a text, whether reading a favourite poem for the tenth time or looking afresh at a piece of writing you drafted years ago, invigorates it in surprising ways. Does a poem’s electricity spark just as strongly on a rereading - or stronger? Or does it... fizzle out? This workshop will hold up a magnifying glass to both the poem itself and to our ways of looking at it.
This course will be delivered via Zoom. Students joining our online courses would need access to a computer, laptop or tablet with a microphone (essential) and a webcam (desirable) as well as a reliable broadband connection.
