The Politics of Yorkshire

The last general election saw some big swings in Yorkshire. This course looks at the history of politics in Yorkshire, from the 21st Century back to the Victorian era, the different traditions across the county, and the range of parties and movements which have proved influential. We will also consider the changing views of people in Yorkshire, how this led us to the present political situation, and what it might mean for the future.
