Women Writers Writing: From the Traditional to the Contemporary

Friday 22 January 2021, 2.00PM to 4.00 PM

Speaker(s): Wendy Pratt

What is the women’s voice in poetry? Join award-winning published poet Wendy Pratt in an exploration of poetry, from the woman’s point of view. We will be looking at poems from leading women poets, those writing about motherhood and the female experience, and exploring the effect of the #MeToo movement on poetry. You will be encouraged to write about your own experiences, as well as celebrating the women poets on whose shoulders the modern day woman writer stands. All are welcome.
