Dealing with Stress the Mindful Way

Wednesday 22 January 2020, 7.00PM to 9.00pm

In this course, students will have the chance to take part in mindfulness meditative practices in order to develop resilience to stressful situations, using some techniques from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programmes. Topics will cover body and emotion awareness, attention and the brain, dealing with thoughts and distraction, challenging negative thinking, responding versus reacting to stress, dealing with difficult emotions and physical pain and mindful communication. Please note that this course is not intended as therapy or treatment for acute stress-related conditions.
