From the Wright Brothers to Rocket Science

Monday 20 January 2020, 7.00PM to 9.00pm

From the Wright brothers in 1903, up to current plans to send humans to Mars… we’ve come a long way in a very short time. In this course we will explore the science behind human flight. What are the technical challenges we needed to overcome to conquer the skies; and what are the key pieces of physics that allow us to explore the universe? What challenges have we yet to conquer? This is an introductory course, so no prior physics or maths experience is needed.
