A Day with Robert Frost

Saturday 9 November 2019, 10.00AM to 4.30pm

A great American poet of the twentieth century and four times Pulitzer Prize winner, Frost created realistic portraits of rural life in language both clean and simple, yet rich in imagery and laden with philosophical musings. His best known work grew out of experiences as a farmer and teacher and is rich in the drama of the everyday, expressed in ordinary speech. Despite the closely observed beauty there is darkness in Frost’s poetry, stemming from the griefs and losses of his personal life. We will consider both roads in the yellow woods.
