The Knights Templar: History, Myths and Legends

Wednesday 15 April 2020, 1.00PM to 3.00pm

The history of the Knights Templar has frequently been hidden behind the veil of their myth, which associates the order with the arcane and the occult. This course will study their rapid rise from a modest beginning to a position of power and wealth; their ability as warriors and castle builders; and the causes for their suppression. It will also examine the myths surrounding the order, from the moment of its suppression to the present day, and its connection with Freemasonry.

So we can continue to support our students, we are working towards putting this course online, by setting up live seminars that students can join through Collaborate - a tool for online meetings that is similar to making video calls.

Students joining our online courses would need access to a computer, laptop or tablet with a microphone, and a reliable broadband connection. You can join the seminars using a smartphone, but this would make viewing any presentations difficult.
