Join Gillian, ‘The Muddy Archaeologist’, to discover the impact that the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings had on our lives in Britain. What do their sites tell us and how can we connect with their artefacts and remains? Enlighten the Early Medieval Ages (the so-called Dark Ages)! Explore the new world of the Early Saxons, the enigmatic Picts and Celts, the coming of Christianity and the Frankish influence from the continent, and the embattled age of Alfred’s Wessex and the Vikings.
