The Medieval Colour Palette

Colour has been used throughout history to decorate, embellish, emphasise and illuminate. This course will explore the materials, manufacture and application of pigments and dyes in the medieval period. It will cover a range of heritage craft application such as stained glass and manuscript illumination, whilst considering how professional conservators preserve integrity and vibrancy.
