A Brief Introduction to the History of Post-Imperial Britain

This course will introduce students to core themes associated with Britain's transition from an imperial metropole to a (theoretically) postcolonial nation. Students shall gain an appreciation of how the end of empire has impacted life within Britain, and of how the decolonisation process has changed Britain's role in the world.
