York Festival of Ideas Fringe Family Fun Afternoon

Every year the Humanities Research Centre organises a family fun afternoon as part of the York Festival of Ideas.

This is an energetic and exciting day of community engagement in the University year and is always a highlight of the HRC calendar.

We issue an annual call for exciting and lightly educative activities that young people from the local community can take part in and enjoy.

Postgraduates from across the University are invited to think up fun and creative activities based loosely on their areas of research, aimed at children in the 5-11 age range.

The Family Fun Afternoon is a great opportunity to have fun, engage with the local community, and gain public engagement experience.
