Biography

After completing a Master’s degree in Statistics (Medical Statistics), Yezy joined the York Trials Unit in 2025 as a Trainee Statistician. She has previous experience in clinical trial analysis.

Projects

  • DIDACT - Multi-centre randomised controlled trial to assess the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of surgery compared with sling immobilisation in the management of adults with radiological diagnosis of a displaced fracture of the distal clavicle that does not involve the acromioclavicular joint.
  • FIRST – A multicentre, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, superiority trial with an internal pilot and cost effectiveness analysis to determine if early treatment with rituximab in children and adults with moderate/severe lupus is superior to usual care.
  • PERISCOPE - What are the benefits and harms of continuation versus stoppage of biologics in patients with inflammatory arthritis (IA) undergoing orthopaedic surgery?
  • PORTRAIT - an RCT investigating whether pain and quality of life are improved with post-operative radiotherapy compared to no radiotherapy and whether radiotherapy reduces the likelihood of further surgery in the future
