Profile

Biography

Tingting's PhD studies, which started in January 2015, focus on antimicrobial resistance in China. Her work forms part of the Health of Populations and Ecosystems (HOPE) project. Tingting's research is to investigate the role of consumer and physician behaviour as a potential contributor to antimicrobial resistance in China, a low and middle-income country. Tingting is supervised by Professor Hilary Graham and Professor Piran White.

Before starting this PhD programme, Tingting completed an MSc in Food Safety, Hygiene and Management from the University of Birmingham and a Bachelor of Preventive Medicine from the Shanxi Medical University of China. She also worked for a year at the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and focused on viruses after graduating from Shanxi Medical University.

Overview

Tingting is interested in investigating factors that may contribute to antimicrobial resistance in China, consumer behaviour, physician behaviour, pharmacist behaviour and their relationships.
