Profile

Biography

Harriet joined YTU as a Trial Support Officer in June 2025. Before this role, Harriet worked at the NIHR Academy, supporting health and care researchers as they applied for career development awards. Harriet has a background in biological research, working in microbiology and women’s health.

Projects

  • FARSTER-Care - An RCT investigating whether, following cardiac surgery with full median sternotomy, an accelerated cardiac rehabilitation pathway will lead to improved patient outcomes and is cost effective compared to the usual timing of cardiac rehabilitation.
  • FIRST – A multicentre, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, superiority trial with an internal pilot and cost effectiveness analysis to determine if early treatment with rituximab in children and adults with moderate/severe lupus is superior to usual care.
