Profile

Biography

Ellie joined the York Trials Unit in September 2023 and is currently a Trial Coordinator working on the SCOOTT Trial and BioDriveAFS Trial. She previously worked as a Trial Support Officer in YTU following the completion of a Masters in Public Health.

Research

Projects

  • BioDriveAFS – an RCT investigating the impact of a biomarker driven Antifungal Stewardship strategy on antifungal drug use and health related quality of life for patients with acute leukaema.
  • SCOOTT - A multi-centre, superiority and non-inferiority three-arm RCT to assess the clinical and cost effectiveness of treating arthritis of the base of the thumb, with or without surgery and to determine the clinical and cost effectiveness of trapeziectomy versus base of thumb joint replacement.
