Biography

Camila joined the York Trials Unit as a Trial Support Officer in July 2023. Prior to joining YTU, Camila worked as a Data Analyst in Education and has a background in Mental Health studies. She completed her Masters degree in 2021 at the University of York and her research project focused on measuring barriers to adherence of HIV medication in pregnant women and the inequalities in ethnic and socio-economic groups.

Projects

  • ARROW - Assessing Residential Rehabilitation fOr Women. A feasibility RCT to assess the feasibility
    of a women only, gender- and trauma-informed residential rehabilitation pathway for drug
    dependent women leaving prison.
  • BAY - An RCT investigating behavioural activation for moderately to severely depressed young people in CAMHS settings
  • IBPI - An RCT evaluating the clinical and cost-effectiveness of an online integrated bipolar parenting intervention to improve child emotional and behavioural problems.
