Biography

Brian has worked in the health field throughout his career in academe, the NHS and Civil Service. He was previously a Professor of Health Economics and has been a registered public health professional since 2007. Since 2013 he has been in Public Health England where he is Chief Economist and Deputy Director of Strategy.

Brian has been appointed as the new NIHR Public Health Research (PHR) Programme Director.
