CFP: CECS Postgraduate Forum

Posted on 4 September 2020

Working on a new chapter? Want to improve your presentation skills? Want to workshop your ideas with peers? Then we would love to hear from you!

The Postgraduate Forum at the University of York's Centre for Eighteenth Century Studies is a fortnightly term-time event offering a platform for postgraduate students to share their research.  We particularly encourage first time speakers wanting to air developing projects or newly completed work.

We invite proposals of no more than 250 words, for papers between 25-30 minutes long, concerning any element of the long eighteenth century (1660-1850).

In light of COVID-19, our events will be moving online, which means we are able to welcome speakers from much further afield than usual.  We are thus delighted to extend our invitation to speakers abroad, as well as across the UK, to join us in sharing their findings with a new audience.  We expect presentations to be live, but let us know if that presents a problem for your timezone.

Please send abstracts with a short bio to the CECS PG Forum team at cecs1@york.ac.uk with 'Forum Submission' as the subject line.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 25th of September, 2020.
